Thalia Sodi quits her contract with EMI?

Thalia Sodi has quit her contract with EMI, the multi-national music company of which the singer has released a number of her albums for the last decade.

The 37-year-old singer, who has starred in several films and released Latin-R&B albums which were sold more than 20 million worldwide, got a letter informing the end of her contract with EMI music.

The Mexican singer and actress, who has won plenty of Latin Grammy and Latin Billboard awards, has been with EMI for ten years and her first work with the label was ‘EN Extasis’, which was released in 1995, has finally said goodbye to EMI music.

Thalia’s last disc titled ‘Lunada’ did not get so much of promotion as she has just become a mother to her baby girl Sabrina Sakae with her American music executive husband Tommy Mottola and she will absolutely spend most of the time with her first child.

Besides, she was unfortunately bitten by a flick which led to an illness of Lyme disease, which is rather pandemic in the US, that causes face paralysis and neurological complications.

According to a lot of report, Thalia talked about her experience how she discovered in the middle of her pregnancy her illness. However, Thalia insists that she waited the end of her contract with the said label by lunching three more discs, which happened between 2004-2005, to exclusively sign with Casablanca Records, her husband Tommy Mottola’s record company. It is also believed that Thalia has a tune recorded with English superstar Robbie Williams, which will be the first single of her in the new disc.

Having a family business is fantastic! Thalia’s hubby Tommy pays for the star-up and running cost and then Thalia can bring profits back to the company! Money goes nowhere!
