Reese Witherspoon says she will be supportive to her kids if they want to pursue their acting career as she found her parents’ own blessing invaluable.

The Oscar-winning actress had an ambition to be an actress when she was a kid and although her parents were baffled by her choice of career, they had no problem with the blonde star and let her pursue her dream.

The Four Christmas star started her acting career at young age when she appear in local TV commercial at 7 and made her debut in film ‘The man in the Moon’ when she was 14.

While many celebrity parents do not agree to let their children follow their footsteps in being a star, Reese sees things in a different way as she told Hello! magazine, she would not mind if  her two kids, Ava, 9, and Deacon, 5, want to challenge their talents in an acting or whatever they want to do for a living, “I’d be supportive.”

“I wanted to be an actor when I was seven years old. And my parents were both physicians, so they thought it was a very strange choice for a little girl in Tennessee, but they were always really cool about it,” said the Walk the Line actress.

She continued, “I always appreciated that because you don’t want to feel restricted or like your dreams are stupid.”

Meanwhile, Reese Witherspoon, who regularly spends her time with her current boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal in London, and her two children were spotted enjoying their great time together in the afternoon on December 9 after the three went ice-skating in Santa Monica CA.

Reese has two kids, Ava and Deacon, with her former actor husband Ryan Phillippe after the couple married in 1999 but divorced after their seven years of marriage.
