Reese Witherspoon has revealed that she fears she will never get married again because she dares not risk a second divorce.

It might be taking the Oscar winning actress so much time till she can completely recover from her split from her former husband Ryan Phillippe, with whom she has two children. The actress admits she is in no rush to wed her current boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal.

Reese Witherspoon told Parade magazine it is quite impossible to reconcile something, “There are things in my life that are hard to reconcile, like divorce. Sometimes it is very difficult to make sense of how it could possibly happen. Laying blame is so easy.”

Instead of excusing anyone of being a guilty one, the Walk the Line star suggests to be responsible to what has happened and then to move on.

“When you make wrong choices, you have to take responsibility for them: ‘What part of this do I own?’ I struggle to figure out what made me make those choices. All I can hope for is that I’ve learned something from it and won’t make the same choices again,” said the 32-year-old mother to two kids.

She admits she is in no rush to tie the knot again after her first divorce.

“Family is all we have in life, but I don’t know how I feel about marriage. Obviously, I’m not far enough out of being married to think about doing it again. You sort of reconstitute your family. You find a family with people who come into your life for a reason,” said Reese who started dating her actor beau Jake in 2007.

She continued, I don’t think about it much. It’s important to stay open to whatever your relationship evolves into. I have a certain idea of what I thought marriage is and the whole life and [the way] things are, and sometimes it doesn’t work out that way.”
