Reese Witherspoon, who has starred in her latest film ‘Four Christmas’, has revealed that her nine-year-old daughter Ava is dreaming of getting a massive Christmas gift – a horse!
The Walk the Line star has been promoting her movie and yet to have things prepared for the holidays.
She told BBC news, “After I get done with this tour, I’m going to definitely start doing the Christmas shopping, the whole thing.”
“I have kids [Ava, 9; Deacon, 5], so it’s a lot about opening presents,” she adds of the holiday. “And then I start cooking, and I really enjoy that part of it. They play with their toys, and I cook some dinner. It’s nice.”
The 32-year-old actress and mother to two children said her girl wants a horse for Christmas but she is still hesitating if it is a good idea to buy her that present. She is quite strict to buy her kids presents.
“I’m a little strict about that kind of stuff,” says the star. “I think kids do best when they only have a couple of things that they really enjoy. I try and stay away from the gluttony of things. They don’t appreciate it as much. When they only get one or two things, they really like it.”
Reese Witherspoon has admitted that she gets panic about Christmas as she has not started anything for the holiday season yet!
She said, “There are many stages in my run up to Christmas, first is panic. Absolute panic.
“I walked into Starbucks and they were playing Christmas music last week and I had an absolute panic attack. I was like ‘Turn it off. I’m not ready. I’m nowhere near ready to start all that’.”
The Witherspoons usually dress up Reese’s Oscar as one of holiday traditions.
“At Christmas time, they put a little hat on him and a little scarf,” she says, “so he doesn’t get cold,” the Legally Blonde star explained.
