Reese Witherspoon, whose movie ‘Four Christmases’ held on to the number 1 on the box office, says “being a parent is my biggest challenge” in life.

The Oscar-winning actress, who has two kids – a daughter Ava, 8, and a five-year-old son Deacon, with her previous relationship with her former husband Ryan Phillippe, admits she always worries that she is not good enough as a mum to both of her children.

“[My biggest challenge is] being a parent,” says the Walk The Line star, 32.

“I wanted a family, but before I had kids I’d never held a baby. I’d never even done any babysitting. So the first time I held Ava was the first time I’d ever held a baby in my life.

“There’s the fear of not being a good mum. Now I just try not to look too far into the future. I try to take it day by day. It gets terrifying if you look at the big picture, so I try to keep it simple.”

However, Reese Witherspoon, who is currently dating her actor beau Jake Gyllenhaal and reveals she will be supportive of her children if they want to pursue their dreams in acting, says she never has regrets in her life.

“But I don’t have time for hate or negativity or regret in my life. When you make wrong choices, you have to take responsibility for them,” the actress added.
