Paris Hilton was reportedly told her boyfriend Dough Reinhardt to wait for her answer after The Hills star pop the question to her with his knee down and an engagement ring in his hand.

The pair joined Paris’ parents Kathy and Rick Hilton for dinner at The Ivy restaurant in Los Angeles on Tuesday (March 24) and Doug found it the right time to propose to the blonde socialite.

However, Doug was left confused after he gave her a box with a Lorraine Schwartz engagement ring inside but Paris did not seem to be amazed. On the other hand, she napped the ring box shut and told him that she would need time to think about his marriage proposal.

Paris, who split with her ex boyfriend Benji Madden last November before hooking up with Doug in February this year, was snapped heading out the restaurant together with her boyfriend while Dough looked depressed and avoided looking at his girlfriend.

Earlier before the dinner, Doug, who earlier said he wants to have children, hinted about his plan to propose to Paris in his Twitter, “I’m about to do something very exciting and life-changing. I’ll announce what happens later.”

Paris Hilton, who has been dating Dough for six weeks, considered her current beau her “sexy boy” after their romantic trip in Maui, Hawaii and the hunk has gushed her by saying Paris would be a really great mum for his children.

He told In Touch weekly magazine, “Paris would make a great mom; she’s my angel princess. I’d love to have some mini Parises one day. I’d love to have children. That’s what completes your life.”

The couple was spotted at LAX airport on Wednesday night (March 25) during their way to the security checkpoint after Paris was away from her beau, working with Kathy Griffin.
