Nicole Richie’s legendary singer father Lionel Richie has revealed her daughter has changed a lot after giving birth to her baby girl Harlow, confirming she has more grown up since starting a family.
Lionel, who adopted his 27-year-old actress daughter at her young age, seems to be happy and proud of her wild-girls-gone-good daughter after Nicole has became a mother and stopped her wild lifestyle.
The Simple life star gave birth to Harlow in January, her first kid with her musician beau Joel Madden, who is a twin brother of Paris Hilton’s current boyfriend, Benji Madden.
Nicole’s father says her daughter has kind of transformed herself since being a mummy. She has to make sure he will not wake Harlow up when he is talking to her while he is visiting his daughter and grandchild. He insists Nicole has been more mature since having her first child.
He says, “I’ll be visiting the house and Nicole will be like, ‘Dad, lower your voice, Harlow is sleeping’. We must be talking about someone other than my daughter. This is not the same Nicole that brings 15 friends over to my house while (Lionel’s daughters) Myles and Sofia are sleeping, and says, ‘Dad, what’s the problem?’ This is whole new territory, and I couldn’t be happier.”
Nicole Richie has admitted using drugs at young age and endured many brushes with the law including a conviction for driving under the influence (DUI) in 2007.
Meanwhile, Nicole and her boyfriend Joel will participate the UNICEF & City of Beverly Hills 2008 Snowflake Lighting ceremony on November 22nd, which will illuminate the 20 Baccarat chandeliers that light up the night and mark the start of the holiday season in Beverly Hills. The Good Charlotte star was named as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
