Nicole Richie seems to keep herself out of spotlight and camera flashes after she is engaged to her American singer boyfriend Joel Madden who she has a daughter with. She has made it clear that she has been really busy looking after her baby girl and doing a lot of things, including launching her latest jewellery line called House of Harlow.
Apart from recording her new album and starring in NBC TV Series Chuck, Paris Hilton’s best girl friend has created her new jewellery line which is named after her child Harlow and inspired by a style in the 60′s and 70′s.
Nicole Richie says, “My philosophy when it comes to jewelry? More is more is more. I’m really inspired by the 60′s and 70′s. I love … Keith Richards’ rock-star style and, of course, Jackie O.”
The 50-piece line, which will be launched in November, is with the ultimate fashion house Mouawad and they are made and decorated with rivets, chains, silk strings, leather, feathers and gold-plated metals.
Meanwhile, the Simple Life star has recently revealed with TV guide about getting the role on NBC’s espionage comedy Chuck and her life.
Being asked how she got the role, the 27-year-old actress said, “I auditioned like every body else. I knew it was a really fun part and it seemed like a challenge. I get a lot of scripts to play blonde, bubbly cheerleader types… She is a typical mean girl. I was a cheerleader in high school, but I was never in a clique and I never treated anyone like she does.”
Nicole also talked about doing her own stunts in a fight scene, “I did them all except for the falling down part, where I might get hurt. I worked with a martial-arts trainer for a week. It was so freeing. The director was nervous about the scene. He wasn’t sure I could do it. They thought they would have to pull me through, but it was easy – except by the second or third day, I was really sore.”
