Nicole Richie was judged on Wednesday yesterday in a court hearing to behave herself and to be in compliance with her 2006 DUI charges after being arrested while driving the wrong way on an L.A. freeway after taking Vicodin (used to relieve moderate to severe pain) according to an interview from a Los Angeles Superior Court clerk.
The Simple life actress Nicole Richie, who is married to her rocker husband Joel Madden, started a charity called Richie-Madden Children’s foundation aiming at young mothers in order to help them get proper healthcare for their kids and also for themselves.
The 27-year-old star gave birth to her daughter Harlow Winter Kate Madden early this year. Her kid and charitable foundation have kept her so busy that she is now living a simple life and now she is one of those Hollywood stars who are dubbed bad girls gone good.
Nicole served 82 minutes of her jail sentence while she was pregnant last summer. Since she pled guilty to driving under the influence, she was placed on three years’ probation and signed up for 18-month alcohol-education programme.
Nicole has to show up in court again on February 20, 2009 for a progress report.
