Nicole Kidman has revealed she mediated everyday while shooting Australia, which she starred alongside Hugh Jackman. She said it helped her connect with her character.
She said she meditated together with her co-star Jack on the set of the movie and sometimes does her own meditation she learned from her father.
The 41-year-old star said, “I have a strong faith in God, he is at the centre of my meditation. Hugh and I would both meditate on the set of ‘Australia’. I also do my own meditation that my father taught me.”
The Australian beauty, who gave birth to her baby girl Sunday Rose in July with her country singer husband Keith Urban, also said she writes in a diary to help herself stay grounded.
She said, “I do keep a diary, it forces me at the end of the day to consider what the day has brought. I sometimes re-read them too. You learn things from that. It does back to realizing that the things you were worried about, that were life and death that day, five years later are not even part of the equation.”
I always go for meditation every time I need to strongly concentrate on something. Try it, it is something more than relaxation!
Meanwhile, the Oscar winning actress, who can play various roles offered to her, refuses to sing in front of her singer hubby.
Nicole Kidman is now working on musical movie Nine, which will be released in December next year, however, she is not at all keen to ask him for any singing tips.
The Moulin Rouge star said, “I will never, never sing in front of him. I wouldn’t even play him the track of me singing. Sometimes I might hum in front of him but that’s it.”
“Keith is pretty tough with that kind of stuff. He’s highly musical,” added Nicole.
