Naomi Watts and her husband actor Liev Schreiber have just welcome their second child on Saturday in New York City (Congratulations) and the name of the baby boy was not revealed until yesterday!
Naomi Watts’ representative revealed with USMagazine.com that the couple has named her latest member of the family ‘Samuel Kai Schreiber’.
“Both mom and baby are doing great,” said the actress’ representative.
Naomi gave birth to Samuel, who weighed 7 lbs., 13 oz, after 16 months of the birth of her first child Alexander Pete Schreiber.
The name of the newborn baby boy had been so much in attention among the media before it was revealed as they wanted to know if the A-list couple would come up with any weird baby names like Gwyneth Paltrow’s Apple, Nick Cage’s Kal-El, Gwen Stefani’s Zuma or Ashlee Simpson’s Bronx Mowgli!
Fortunately, the latest Hollywood baby was born with a nice and ordinary name Samuel.
In April, The King Kong actress Watts told Australia’s Herald Sun that motherhood “is everything everyone says it is and more. There’s still so much to learn, I’m still figuring it out.”
She also said earlier this year about her first son, “He’s turning pages in the book. He’s crawling and standing up. He can wave. I read Goodnight Moon to him every night.”
Before giving birth to Samuel, Naomi never announced in public she was expecting her second baby despite her pregnant belly until late last month when her husband Live revealed that she was pregnant.
With her two children, Naomi probably finds it hard to return to her acting career as she might be so much enjoying raising the boys.
Congratulations again to Naomi Watts, Liev Schreiber, the happy family and especially to five-days-old Samuel who will grow up without being teased by his schoolmates about his name!
