Mariah Carey is reportedly excited to start a family although she and her husband Nick Cannon are desperately to welcome a bundle of joy anytime soon.

The ‘Touch My Body’ songstress has made an offer on the French Chateau-style David Saperstein estate in Holmby Hills which is listed with an asking price of $125 million and she has recently spent $200,000 on pink nursery furniture.

She apparently wants a baby girl!

A source said, “It’s 45,000 square feet and looks like a European castle.  It’s so big, it can’t even be called a mansion – it’s similar to Buckingham Palace! She has asked [interior decorator] Kenneth Bordewick to advise on her new home and has requested an all-pink nursery. It’s going to be over the top!”

Mariah Carey, who married her hubby last April, has been rumoured being pregnant since last year but has always denied. However, sources close to the couple revealed they can’t wait to have a baby and are planning to adopt a kid.

A source told the New York Daily News that “Mariah has tossed around the idea of adopting”, which Mariah can make sure she will get a daughter.

Meanwhile, Nick Cannon was reportedly bought his singer wife, who turned 39 today (March 27), a bald eagle.

Nick had his own reason for picking the bald eagle for his beloved wife, “I think I was going to get her a bald eagle or something. Yeah, they sell them bald eagles still right?”

The pair, who had a whirlwind romance, married on April 30, 2008 at Mariah’s private estate on Windermere Island in the Bahamas before Mariah revealed she felt the pair was “soulmates”.

Although they sound so desperate to have their baby, their first child must be a lucky baby since he/she will get everything he/she wants or become a spoiled kid.
