Madonna has revealed she might adopt another kid from poverty-stricken country Malawi.

In 2006, the 50-year-old singer and her former husband Guy Ritchie adopted a Malawian boy David Banda, who was 13 months old at that time, which caused media allegations they violated that country’s adoption laws.

Madonna’s idea to adopt another child from the same country is she wants her adopted son to have a brother or sister from the same homeland.

“Many people – especially our Malawian friends – say that David should have a Malawian brother or sister,” she said in response to emailed questions from Malawi’s the Nation newspaper.

“It’s something I have been considering, but would only do, if I had the support of the Malawian people and the Government.”

“It is a big priority for me to educate my son about the world, but always to stay connected to his Malawian culture,” she added.

“He has a big map of Africa in his room with lots of arrows pointing to Malawi.”

The ‘Die Another day’ hitmaker, who has one daughter Lourdes, 13 with her fitness trainer boyfriend Carlos Leon, and a son Rocco, 8, with Guy Ritchie, said her divorce with Guy would not deprive their kids of either parent.

She said, “I believe in family. So, everything between us is very amicable…we both agree that our children should always feel a deep connection with both their parents. It is our responsibility to give them that foundation.”

Madonna met Guy Ritchie in 1999 and became romantically involved before giving birth to their son Rocco in August 2000. They were married in the same year they welcome their first baby and she filed for divorce from her then husband in October 2008.

She was said to be depressed over the divorce and had to find support from her girl pals like Gwyneth Paltrow.
