Lindsay Lohan has been chosen to dress like a mid-80s Madonna in the 70^th Anniversary issue of US Glamour magazine.

To celebrate the anniversary, young celebrities has been taken to pose as famous American women icons and the Mean Girls actress is honoured to mimic 50-year-old singer Madonna from her 1984 MTV Video Music Awards performance of ‘Like a Virgin’.

Lindsay told the mag, “When I was little, every day after school I would come home and put in her The Immaculate Collection disc and karaoke to it around the whole house.”

Other young stars posing for the magazine are Hayden Panettiere as aviator Amelia Earhart, Emma Roberts as Audrey Hepburn, and Camilla Belle as Mary Tyler Moore, Alicia Keys as Michelle Obama, and Rumer Willis as a woman of Woodstock.

“You can do anything! That’s the message of the seven decades of female risk takers, rule breakers and style makers here,” the magazine said of the shoot.

Meanwhile, a source revealed that Lindsay Lohan was mad at Katie Holmes as Tom Cruise’s wife was on the Glamour cover and Lilo wished it had been her.

“(Lohan) did this big Madonna-themed photo shoot and she was totally under the impression it would be the cover,” said the source.

“Her Marilyn Monroe shoot for New York Magazine seemed to make her relevant when she did it, she thought the same would happen this time. Only she wasn’t on the cover, Katie was, and she’s mad at her now.”

Another source said the cover was not even a plan, “If that was Lindsay’s impression, it was a mistake. She was always going to be inside the magazine.”

Oh come on Lindsay, she should have realised where she should be and this is what Kathy deserves. Kathy is full of guts and beauty so the mag cover is the right place for her!
