Lindsay Lohan has insisted her romance with her DJ girlfriend Samantha Ronson is still on, although the actress was previously said to dramatically cry after the breakup.

Asked what she was doing to survive without Sam, Lindsay responded, “You guys make it seem like it’s so over, but it’s not. People take breaks. It’s OK. It’s normal, they focus on themselves.”

Members of Ronson family hired security guards to keep the Mean Girls star away from Los Angeles’ Bar Marmont, where Sam was djing.

Lindsay Lohan was desperate to meet Sam and reported to ask paparazzi where Sam is, so she can go to see her.

A source said, “Lindsay was out on Tuesday at a tattoo parlor. She was calling the paps to see who Samantha was with at the Chateau Marmont.”

Meanwhile, Lindsay’s grandma is happy with the split and insisted she should never have been romantically linked with the celebrity DJ.

Apart from her father, Michael Lohan, Lindsay has another shoulders of her family members to cry on.

Marilyn Lohan told People.com, “We’d all like to reach out to her. We’re all here for her and we’d love to see her. Me, as a grandmother, I’d like to try and help her out, but she’s not here (in Long Island), she’s in L.A. I think she needs her family in her life, but they’re not. They should be. I haven’t seen her in over a year. I don’t know what happened. I’m heartbroken.”

The grandma is convinced that because her grandchild rose to fame too quick and it was too hard for Lilo to manage fames at young age.

She added, “What happened is that it was too much too fast. And she was on her own too early. She was too young. They get into that party scene. It’s very hard for them.”
