Lindsay Lohan, who has been in a depressing mode, has finally come out to confirm the breakup between her and her DJ girlfriend Samantha Ronson.

The 22-year-old Hollywood actress told E! News, “We are taking a brief break so I can focus on myself.”

Lindsay was said to go to Sam’s party at Bar Marmont on Friday night even though she was not invited.

A source said, “Lindsay knew she was unwanted, but came anyway, to no avail.

“Sam, however, looked like she was in a great mood.”

The celebrity DJ was reported to have changed the locks on her house and also a window which was destroyed after a fight with Lindsay.

“Samantha’s family has made her swear that it’s really over. They are giving her all the support they can to keep her away from Lindsay. Samantha changed the locks on her house. Lindsay moved her stuff out as much as she could. She’s basically totally out of the house as far as her stuff and she’s not living there anymore. Lindsay was pretty devastated.”

“Lindsay is going to try and twist the situation in her favor, but Samantha clearly left her, not the other way around.”

Lindsay Lohan’s father Michael Lohan, however, is standing by her side.

He told US TV show Extra, “Breakups are never pretty and they’re never easy. I’m here for Lindsay any time.

“I’ve cleared my schedule to go meet her in L.A. I hope Dina takes good care of her in the meantime.

“At a time like this she needs someone standing by her side. It’s about time she had both parents with her, without Dina driving a wedge between us. It’s time for Lindsay to resurrect her life and career.”
