Katie Holmes and her handsome husband Tom Cruise have called FBI and increased security around their family members after receiving death threats which were believed to have come from groups opposed their Scientology faith.

A source close to the couple told Daily Mail, “The threats are perceived to be so great that the FBI has been alerted….Tom is terrified. He doesn’t feel safe anywhere.”

The star couple was so frightened that they called FBI to investigate the threatening letters sent to their house. According to reports, more security has been set up around Tom, his wife Katie and also their two-year-old daughter Suri.

Katie Holmes, 30 and Tom Cruise, 46, who married in 2006, are reportedly using bomb-proof vehicles to move around.

Sources close to the family believe that threats were from group who opposed to the controversial religious organization.

Other protesters have been pissed by Bryan Singer’s latest move ‘Valkyrie’, which Tom played the role of Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg, who plotted to kill Adolf Hitler in 1994.

Tom attended the Los Angeles Premiere of his Nazi drama and confronted protesters from the anti-Scientology group ‘Anonymous’, who “has spent much time and effort addressing the Church of Scientology’s record of hate, harassment and human rights abuses.” He has decided to add more security around his family since then.

Tom Cruise, who became involved in Scientology in 1990 through his first wife Mimi Rogers, is an outspoken advocate for the Church of Scientology which is the largest organisation devoted to the practice and the promotion of the Scientology belief system.

He has dedicated a lot to the organisation so it is not a surprise why he has received death threats from those who are against him.

But one thing I do not really get is what the real purpose of the groups opposed to the Scientology faith is!
