Kate Hudson has revealed in the January 2009 issue of InStyle magazine about living the single life, adding she is enjoying a life on her own so she is in no rush to settle down again.
She told her designer friend Stella McCartney during the interview in InStyle, “I’m actually enjoying being single right now because I really never have been.”
The Almost Famous star married to Chris Brown with whom she has a 4-year-old son Ryder Russel but the pair separated in 2006 after their six years of marriage. The 29-year-old actress later started dating Owen Wilson, who co-stared her in ‘You, Me and Dupree’ and Lance Armstrong.
“I feel good in relationships,” says Kate Hudson. “I enjoy them, so I feel my best when I’m in something solid. But it’s also the first time I’ve ever taken a step back and gotten a new perspective.”
“So,” concludes the star, “I’ve made a conscious decision to try to stay single as long as possible.”
Stella McCartney joking asks Hudson, “What’s it been – all of two weeks? Congratulations!”
She replies, “Exactly.”
The Skeleton Key actress, who Stella says has “always been in demand”, reveals her next year’s plan, saying, she is going to take a break from her tight work schedule so that she can spend her quality time with her son Ryder.
“When he climbs into bed with me, wraps his arms around me and says, ‘Mommy, the sun’s up! It’s a beautiful morning!’ I’m sorry, do I really want to go to work then?” she asks. “No!”
She is no in rush to tie a knot with any men, which means there are only two guys who will always be in her heart – her son Ryder, who will turn 5 in January 2009 and her former husband Chris Robinson.
