Jennie Garth’s daughter is ‘Back to Her Old Self’

Jennie Garth said in an interview with WebMD magazine about a rare illness found in her 6-year-old daughter Lola Ray after the girl was diagnosed of Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis but she is gradually recovering.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 star took Lola to a hospital where she was required hospitalization for 9 days while doctors tried to figure out the illness but the doctors were not sure what was wrong with Lola, so Jennie Garth took her home.

The 36-year-old actress said, “We went home and researched it on our own, with help from friends and family in the medical profession until we found web sites for JRA, which seemed to match her symptoms.”

Jennie explained that Lola always complained about fatigue, wanted to be carried all the time because her joints hurt and she was not just herself. The couple knew there must have been something terrible happening to their daughter.

Fortunately, they met a specialist at UCLA who cured the girl for a rare form of JRA known as ‘Still’s Disease’.

Lola was to take a long-term course of the drug Naprosyn which killed her fevers, and a short course of steroids knocked out the rash.

“She responded well to the treatment, and is now in remission…My husband[Peter Facinelli] and I have never been more thankful to God, that we were able to get her through this and that she is back to her old self, running and playing,” said Jennie.

With Lola is bit by bit recovering, Jennie also talked about another two daughters Luca Bella, 11, and Fiona Eve, 2, that she is now helping the girls maintain their bodies as the two really love eating.

“I tell her she is exactly the way she is supposed to be, and that she is beautiful. I make sure that they eat healthy and balanced and get adequate exercise,” said the mother to three daughters.
