Eva Mendes admits she is thankful for becoming a famous actress when she already turned into an adult.
The Cuban actress, who rose to prominence when starring in 2003 2 Fast 2 Furious at the age of 28, finds it too difficult to deal with fame if she had been one of those stars who became famous at young age.
“There are a lot of lost little souls in Hollywood – a lot of young women who have so much, who come into fame and fortune when they are young, and it’s very difficult to handle that,” Eva said.
“I just thank my lucky stars for being an adult before being an actress.”
The 34-year-old star, who plays Sand Saref in Frank Miller’s The Spirit alongside actress Scarlett Johansson, says she hates being asked if she has any problems with her female co-stars.
“It’s a very sexist way of thinking. Nobody ever asks that when men work together in an ensemble cast,” she said. “I have been in the business 10 years and I’ve never had a negative situation with another actress – ever!”
Meanwhile, Eva Mendes, who is currently dating her producer boyfriend George Gargurevich and really busy with her acting career, reveals with USA Today about her post-movie plans that she wants to spend quality time with her beau George and her doggie.
I’m going to be with my boyfriend and my dog, Hugo. He’s a Belgian Malinois. He’s an attack dog, but he’s the biggest baby you’ll ever meet,’ Eva said. “He’s trained to not be aggressive.”
She continued, “Raccoons really mess with him. Things that go through the bushes quickly, he loses it.”
“You can be in a deep cuddle situation with him, and he hears something rattling in the bushes, and he’s out the door.”
