Drew Barrymore insists she is currently single but a reason why she is often spotted being with her former boyfriends is because she still stays close to them.

The He’s Just Not That Into You star told Ellen DeGeneres in an interview that she is still close to at least a couple of her exes – Justin Long and Fabrizio Moretti.

The 33-year-old actress said, “People are always like ‘Is it awkward?’ I’m like, ‘No, because if you can’t be with somebody, it doesn’t mean that the love has to go away. It just transfers to something different that works at that point in your life.”

“I’m really close with some of the people I’ve been with in my life because they’ve had such an impact on it that I don’t want them to go away, you know,” the stunner added.

Drew Barrymore admits she often hangs out with Justin Long as they are still good friends.

She said, “We hang out all the time and people are like ‘Are you getting back together?’ And, we’re like, ‘No we’re just friends.’ He’s just the sweetest guy.”

Not only does she still go out with Justin, the Music and Lyrics actress is also working on a project with her ex Fabrizio Moretti.

“My ex-boyfriend Fabio, [whom] I was with for five years — he’s the drummer for The Strokes — and I was just showing him my new movie, and we’re talking about doing a song together. I mean that’s just the way — if you’re fortunate enough — that life can be, and it’s so harmonious,” she explained.

Meanwhile, Drew has recently confessed she has had a 20-year crush on actor Christian Bale, whom she met on the set of ‘Empire of the Sun’ ages ago.

Drew explained, “He’s so cute. I knew him when he was a kid. He was in Empire of the Sun.

“If he walked into the room now, I would totally clam up. Or I might go overboard and embarrass myself.”
