Diane Lane is well aware how it feels to be a single mother. The American actress divorced her ex-husband Christophe Lambert when her daughter Eleanor Jasmine was still a toddler as she felt it would be better to be friends and be functional than a married couple and [dysfunctional].
Although her first husband Christophe Lambert has been taking care of his daughter who is now 15 years old, Diane Lane reveals that before she married with her second husband life is not that easy to be a single mum.
The Jumper actress says, “Life as a single mum was like having a croquet mallet in one hand, a tennis racket in the other, a baseball bat in the other, and some fins on my feet.”
Diane Lane, 43, is now married to actor Josh Brolin who has divorced with his ex-wife Alice Adair. The former couple has two children – Trevor, 20, and Eden, 15 who are now staying with Josh. So Diane has to look after both of Josh’s children and she finds her life is rather busy but it is alright since she is really happy with her life and current family.
However, the actress is not the only one who finds her life quite happy, Dianne’s daughter, Eleanor doesn’t feel her life is lacking anything. Dianne says that Eleanor enjoy visiting her stepgrandparents Barbra Streisand and James Brolin. The stepparents have no sign of disliking 15-year-old Eleanor and apart from making a gourmet spread for her family on the vacations, Barbra Streisand often comes to play with the kids.
Meanwhile, Diane Lane and Richard Gere has been reported to enjoy their ‘peculiar relationship’ after they rarely speak to each other away from the movie set, according to Metro.
The two have appeared together in the 1984 The Cotton Club, 2002 Unfaithful and the coming Nights In Rodanthe.
