Dannii Minogue thanks the UK TV music talent show the X Factor’s producer and judge Simon Cowell for giving her chances to try her luck in the US.

The Aussie beauty, who has asked for a pay rise for her new contract in the next series of the famous show, has recently revealed how she is grateful to Simon Cowell after he asked her to join the show’s judging panel back in 2007.

She told Perth Now, “Just being on his shows, sitting next to him, and learning from him has opened up a world of opportunities for me, particularly in America.”

“I’ve had a few trips there the past 12 months and normally you have to explain who you are and what you do. But as soon as you say: ‘I work with Simon on The X Factor,’ they get it.”

Dannii Minogue was recruited to work for the UK talent show because she has experienced on Australia’s Got Talent in her native country.

She continued, “It feels like it’s fast-tracking me to I don’t know. I didn’t have any plan to come on and start judging – it wasn’t something I was going after. I got the call, and I’m not sure where it will lead.

“But I have a feeling maybe one day I’ll go into production and write my own show ideas, so this is just the most crazy ‘money can’t buy experience’ to be around these people and learn from them.”

Dannii, who was paid £500,000 a series, has demanded an increase £250,000 which means she will get paid £1 million for the next series, if she will still be working on the show.

I thought she had already been offered for the new deal with the X Factor. Is Simon still sitting on the fence?
