Dannii Minogue, one of the judges on the UK TV music talent show the X Factor, has come out to defend popstar Britney Spears after the singer has been criticized a lot for her poor performance on the X Factor.

Britney sang her first single, ‘Womanizer’, of her latest album ‘Circus’, on the UK talent show X Factor on Saturday night. Despite being a professional singer, the US popstar could not avoid negative criticism and has been slammed for her performance on the stage.

However, Dannii Minogue revealed when attending the Children’s BAFTAs that she really enjoyed watching Britney on her debut appearance on UK television for four years.

“There is a lot of hype around Britney all the time. How that girl has put up with it and managed her longevity… it was exciting for us and the contestants to be in her presence,” said the Aussie beauty who has been rumoured to soon wed her sports star boyfriend Kris Smith after denying a speculation of their split.

Britney Spears, a mother to two kids who just turned 27 on December 1, had also been rumoured to refuse to contact with the X Factor judges and the contestants. The star also did not mentor the hopefuls unlike the show’s previous guests such as Take That, Girls Aloud and Mariah Carey.

When asked if Britney ever spoke to the panel, Dannii replied, “She did speak to us. I don’t think she spoke to the contestants but she did meet the judges.”

Although Dannii was flooded with pressure on a question that what the conversation between Britney and the panel was about, she still giggled and said the Womanizer hitmaker only spoke to judge Simon Cowell.

I do not know what the truth is but I like the way Dannii Minogue answered those questions. Well done Dannii!
