Christina Aguilera has revealed she is not a kind of woman who likes to be judgemental and never fond of passing judgement on Britney’s or anyone’s life.
The Reflection hitmaker, who appeared in the Disney Channel’s The New Mickey Mouse club at young age and kicked off her musical career almost at the same time Britney did on the Walt Disney’s American variety television show, said it was not her style to form critics on people’s lives.
“I don’t pass any judgement on what she does. I always wish her all the best,” People magazine quoted her as telling Britain’s Daily Mail.
Christina Aguilera, whose latest album ‘Keeps Getting’ Better- A Decade of Hits’ was released yesterday, added that despite the fact that they started their career alike, they never considered each other competitors.
The Genie in a Bottle singer said, “When we both started releasing records, it must have seemed as if we were competing with each other, but, in reality, Britney is someone that I used to hold hands with.”
“We were silly little girls together on The Mickey Mouse Club. What a journey it has been for both of us! “We don’t keep closely in touch with one another. Our lives have taken on two different directions,” added the 27-year-old star.
Meanwhile, Christina Aguilera responded to the news about her mimicking Lady Gaga’s style that she did not even know who Lady Gaga was, although her new look did resemble fellow pop star Lady Gaga.
When asked by LATimes about the resemblance between her and the 22-year-old Italian-American singer, Christina said, “This person [Lady Gaga] was just brought to my attention not too long ago. I’m not quite sure who this person is, to be honest. I don’t know if it is a man or a woman. I just wasn’t sure.”
Sometimes those stars have the same style and sometimes they hardly admit things.
