Christina Aguilera not signing Topshop

Christina Aguilera was reported in December lest year to earn million dollar if she had signed a contract to design new clothing range for UK’s Topshop. However, rumour is just a rumour no matter what!

A source revealed at the end of 2008 that Sir Philip Green was interested in the Dirty singer’s style and had already started talking with her to offer Christina an opportunity to design her own clothing line.

The source said, “Sir Philip has started talks with Christina and hopes to sign a deal soon. She has visited his offices in London and they are thrashing out the details.”

“Philip loves her style and believes she would add something new to TopShop. Christina is the blonde bombshell who is into pop whereas Kate is the rock chick and model. She’d appeal to a younger shopper than Kate.”

However, the latest reports have said something the other way round.

Sources claimed that Christina Aguilera had “visited Green’s offices in London” and “they are thrashing out the details.”

While a rep for Topshop has revealed the rumours of the singer to sign a million dollar deal with the High Street store, which English supermodel Kate Moss designs a collection for, are not true at all.

“We are not in discussion with any celebrity or artist to create new ranges for us,” said the spokesman.

According to Elle UK, the internet rumour of Christina would be designing for UK’s Topshop is just another rumour swirling in the internet.

“Our friends at Topshop have confirmed to Elleuk.com that it’s not happening. This year Topshop will be focusing on the best in British design talent, including a collection from Biba legend Barbara Hulanicki, whose collection in the 1970s defined the decade.

“Her collection of body-con dresses, palozzo pants, and suede jackets is set to lauch April 2008.”
