Cameron Diaz Ferrari goes under hammer in London

Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu drove a classic Ferrari in 2003 Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and now the little red Ferrari, a 1963 250 GT California is up for the auction.

The car auctions is one of the most valuable event of car collections ever been held in Britain and star of the event could not be any ones but the 1963 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder, which was used in the big hit movie Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and driven by two superstars Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu.

The magnificent Ferrari, which is owned by an unnamed collector, is expected to fetch around £3,000,000 – £3,500,000 and it is quite similar to one sold to Chris Evans last year for £5.5 million.

Other remarkable cars in the ‘Automobiles of London’ include a silver 1965 Aston Martin DB5 which was seen in the music video Millennium of Robbie Willaims, and a stylish 1955 Ford Thunderbird which was once owned by Hollywood star, John Travolta and cost £20-30,000.

Another interesting one is the world’s flattest car 21-inch high ‘Flat Out’ which was fashioned out of a Fiat 126 and owned by the 45-year-old from Poole. There is also a mini version of the Hummer, made from a 1998 Suzuki Wagon and has been regarded as the “credit crunch Hummer”.

He said: “I started to make the cars just for fun, but over the years some of them have become very well known in the car world. I’m delighted that they are being sold as art because I put thousands of hours into them and I aim to make their appearance striking.

Paul Wallman from RM auctions replied after being asked if the current financial crisis would affect the prices of the cars.

“People are still spending a lot of money on old cars even when there is so much going on in the world, said Paul.
