Calista Flockhart reveals that she finds it too hard to go back to her acting career after pausing it for many years and being a mother to an adopted son.

The Pictures of Baby Jane Doe actress adopted her son Liam seven years ago during the fourth and the last season of American Television series ran on the FOX network ‘Ally Mcbeal’ in 2001.

Once the show ended in 2002, Calista Flockhart quit her job as an actress in order to dedicate her full time for being a mother to Liam. However, the 44-year-old American star went back to sting in 2006 when she was one the cast for dramatic television series Brothers & Sisters.

The 1997 Golden Globe winning actress Calista says, “All of a sudden, I wasn’t home to pick Liam up from school, and I realised it wasn’t really OK, and I wasn’t happy, and I was scratching my eyes out. I couldn’t believe I’d put myself in this situation.”

Calista said that her actor boyfriend Harrison Ford played an important role in making her feel good about going back to acting.

“I was very comforted knowing that Harrison was there, he really stepped up and became a stay-at-home dad,” said her.

Meanwhile, Calista Flockhart’s mother has been recently reported to follow Calista’s footsteps in a showbiz as an actress. She has taken into acting after her retirement.

Kay, Calister’s mother, used to be a teacher in Illinois before Calister’s father and Kay retired to Tennessee where she has kicked off her acting career.

Calista Flockhart, her partner Harrion Ford and Liam went to watch Kay when she performed in her first stage play.

The star says, “She had done some acting in college. And then she was a teacher her whole life. Then my father and her retired and moved to Tennessee, and she just did a production of Driving Miss Daisy.”
