Britney Spears‘ World Tour team is now terrified her upcoming Circus-themed tour, which will kick off today in New Orleans, will not be packed as they were expecting.
Tickets of the tour have been reported to be underwhelming and this has led to the team’s concern over a number of empty seats.
“Group sales are down considerably,” a person close to the production told MSNBC.
“And then you’ve got individual tickets that cost as much as $500 apiece. That’s a lot of money to spend on an artist who isn’t a sure bet right now.”
However, insiders revealed that 27-year-old popstar still keeps calm and is now working hard for her rehearsals.
The source said, “She’s worked really, really hard to make this good. Granted, there’ve been some hiccups along the way, but she’s going to put on a good show.
“I just hope there are people there to see it. This is really her last chance.”
Meanwhile, Britney Spears has been chosen to be 2009 Candie’s girl after she seems to completely back on track.
Britney said in a statement, “I’m so excited to be the face for Candie’s Only at Kohl’s. Candie’s and Kohl’s are doing such great things with my tour. It’s great to work with a line that has such cool clothes and accessories.”
“Britney’s back and Candie’s has her. We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Britney, which marks her first ever apparel endorsement,” Dari Marder, chief marketing officer for Iconix Brand Group, Inc., said in a statement.
“There is a perfect synergy between our Candie’s girls and Britney’s fan base and to be able to partner with her during such a monumental time in her career is very exciting for the brand.”
There is no report on how much money Britney will earn but I am glad she is back for good!
