Ashlee Simpson made her appearance in public for the first time, showing her huge post-baby body, after welcoming her first baby, Bronx Mowgli, with her rocker husband Pete Wentz in November.

The singer looked happy in a coat when she was spotted at West Hollywood Troubadour club with her parents Joe and Tina Simpson to watch Pete performed with his band ‘Fall Out Boy’.

During her pregnancy, Ashlee said she did not mind gaining extra pounds and claimed the doctor said she was “right on target with my weight again”, but she denied to revealed how many pounds she had gained.

“My weight and my pant size are the absolute last thing I am concerned about,” said the new mother, 24. “I am only concerned with having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.

“People who judge pregnant women’s weight need to get a life,” she added.

Ashlee and Pete are reported to hire a babysitter to look after Bronx in the New Year’s Eve so the couple could co-host a night at the Pure night club.

Meanwhile, according to Star Magazine, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are big fans of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

A source close the pair said, “He [Pete] practically gets googly-eyed when talking about how much he admires Brad. She [Ashlee] wore black maxi dresses throughout her pregnancy, copying Angie. And privately, she gushes about how she wants to follow Angie’s lead and do more philanthropic work.”

Ashlee and Pete are also said to copy the superstar couple’s style in putting an ‘X’ at the end of their kids’ names – Maddox, Pax, and Knox and the new parents named their first baby boy Bronx!

“Ashlee worried about being perceived as a copycat, so Pete labored over a name that was similar but unique,” added the source.
